It is necessary to change the NACE Codes?
Starting with January 1, 2025, the new classification of economic activities, CAEN Rev. 3, came into force. For newly established companies or for those making changes to the Trade Register after this date, the use of the new CAEN rev 3 codes is mandatory. For already registered entities, the updating of CAEN codes will be carried out gradually, either at the initiative of the holder or upon the registration of a new mention in the trade register.

Maximum deadline for changing NACE CODES
The government decision adopted on March 20, 2025, establishes an 18-month period for the gradual updating of NACE codes, which begins on January 1, 2025, making it mandatory that on June 30, 2026, all companies have NACE codes updated according to the new nomenclature.
